Our Parent Network is uniquely inclusive, offering support to parents caring for children with any additional needs or disabilities. Parents can come to any Parent Network session in any area they wish to. Each session will include a chance for parents to meet families similar to their own with the added bonus of a learning focus from our award winning courses and wealth of personal and professional experience with themes such as understanding and managing challenging behaviours. All sessions will be delivered by Francine and Lesley who have extensive knowledge and over 20 years of experience in group training.
Parent Networks in partnership with Families in Focus CIC will:
- Offer emotional support and practical tried and tested techniques,
knowledge and learning to build parental resilience and enhance family life in focused sessions every three weeks during term time for the next 3 years.
- Provide regular, free networks for parent carers to share experiences build local community support and reduce isolation.
- Train parents to become trainers to facilitate Parent Networks from 2017 with continued support from Families in Focus CIC.
